Horizon

From horizon the sunlight beams,
as pathway fades to yonder streams
and stunted growth gives little shade,
where future hopes are seen to fade.
Great joy for children therein shows,
when the village well near overflows.
They'll make good use of every drop,
and fetching water; perhaps, will stop.
Plants might grow in pots instead,
of bearing water on their heads.
From such existence they've endured,
a new horizon seems assured.
